Ranking the Star Wars Movies

The Star Wars movie franchise is one of the biggest franchises out there, and its enormous popularity has led to many spin-offs, sequels, TV shows, toys, games, books, and more. Here, I would like to rank the movies that make up this wonderful series.

7. The Attack of the Clones- Even if this movie was watchable, it still was a drag through extended battles that amounted up to pretty much nothing. Also, the Clones didn't come in until the very end.

6. The Phantom Menace- This was only a little better than its sequel. Too light of a tone, a bad case of Battle Droids, and Jar Jar Binks made this movie suffer. After such a long time, this is what they gave us?

5. A New Hope- In my mind, this is the most memorable movie. It started it all, but, in reality, it wasn't the best movie. The unforgettable cast of characters does make up for this, though.

4. Revenge of the Sith- A surprisingly dark tone, and a more grown-up film. The whole Darth Vader thing was intense, physically and mentally. But it had good special effects, I will give it that.

3. The Force Awakens- Rey, Finn, and Kylo are all great characters. The plot is rich and detailed, combining the nostalgic feel of the original trilogy with the Hollywood of today. Although there was one thing this was missing: battles in the middle of space. The closest thing we get to that is when Finn and Poe are in the TIE Fighter.

2. Return of the Jedi- This movie is criminally underrated. The Ewoks were a little strange at first, but I grew to enjoy their antics. Plus, nothing beats Jabba the Hutt and his awesome palace. And, how could you not like the end, where Vader dies for the right cause?

1. The Empire Strikes Back- Oh my gosh- this movie still blows my mind. The AT-ATs? Boba Fett? Hoth? YODA?!?! What is not to love? From the climatic scene on Bespin where Luke finds out Darth is his dad, to Lando's cape, to the introduction of the wise green alien, Yoda. This movie is truly George Lucas's masterpiece.
